As an owner of the Microtech ultratech, the utx 70, and the scarab otf knives I actually prefer carrying the GT recon 35. The aforementioned are all beautifully crafted and high quality knives but I really appreciate the size, grip, and release mechanism of the Recon 35 for daily carry.
I got this knife to try something else otf besides microtech and I’m not disappointed. I like it more than my utx-85 for these reasons..feels better in hand, doesn’t have proprietary hardware, no switch rattle, and the switch is super smooth and enjoyable to go along with the action! Just wish it was a little thinner behind the edge but didn’t buy this knife for a slicer. Will order from here again, I like how they show the stock they have left and they shipped out same day. Thanks!
