White River has taken the Camp Cleaver genre of knives and made one that is actually useful. Many camp cleavers are heavy, awkward and difficult to carry. The White River Camp Cleaver is none of those things. It is premium steel, great ergonomics and just the right design for bushcraft to food prep. It is big enough for almost any job and still able to be carried on the belt.
The Camp Cleaver comes in a variety of micarta handle colors and all come with a premium leather sheath that is as nice as the knife.

A supremely comfortable OD Micarta-clad handle--much like that of the outstanding WRK Ursus 45 (which I also picked up from Northwest Knives)--greets your palm the moment you unsheathe this cleaver. The tried-and-true S35VN stonewashed steel blade and deceptively light yet effective chopping platform can easily make long hours of food prep a cinch--and a delight! The thick, high-quality leather sheath and handcrafted wooden box in which to store both complete the package.
All in all, you get a well-rounded, USA-made elegant piece of cutlery that's equally at ease in the kitchen or at your campsite. Also, you risk nothing if you purchase any WRK product: WRK will repair or replace it if you're not 100% satisfied. How often do you see that kind of guarantee anymore?
I love using this cleaver so much I conjure up any excuse to find meat, fruits and vegetables, nuts, etc., just to chop and slice them under the attentive curved blade of this highly comfortable work of art! It exudes QUALITY.

(I don't live anywhere near Idaho, so buying online is always a risk if a person doesn't know with whom he's dealing.) And, like the good people at WRK, he is "good people." Would I do business with Northwest Knives or White River Knives again? Absolutely!
