The Jank Shank Pikal pays tribute to an iconic shape and its historical significance. This blade has been used for centuries and crafted by numerous makers, with its origins tracing back to the Philippines, where it served as an agricultural and working knife.

The term ‘Pikal’ translates to ‘to rip,’ which is evident from its design. This limited batch of Pikal blades features the same handle profile and ergonomics as our current Jank Shank model. The razor-sharp straight edge of the blade has been inverted to create a reverse edge, providing a straightforward solution. The high saber grind produces a full-face bevel, which helps reduce the overall weight of the knife. We have added thumb jimping to both the front and rear of the blade’s spine for better grip and control during use. The handle is finished with our redesigned scale patterns, enhancing retention and grip in demanding environments.

Each Jank Shank Pikal is meticulously crafted in San Diego by our skilled manufacturing team and comes with a reverse KYDEX® sheath.
