Bob Terzuola, a member of the Blade Magazine Hall of Fame and a custom knifemaker, has been setting standards for mission-ready fixed blades since the early 1980s. In 1981, Sal Glesser, co-founder of Spyderco, revolutionized the knife industry by introducing a pocket clip for folding knives. He then paired this innovation with Spyderco’s now-iconic Trademark Round Hole, creating the first one-handed opening, clip-carrying pocketknife.

In 1990, Bob became Spyderco's first collaborator, integrating Sal's innovations into his tactical knife designs, which led to the groundbreaking C15 Bob Terzuola. In 1999, Spyderco worked with Bob again to release the Starmate, a design that combined the essential qualities of Bob's Advanced Technology Combat Folder (ATCF) with Sal's Trademark Round Hole and pocket clip. Now, 25 years later, Spyderco is proud to celebrate Bob and Sal by reintroducing this limited-edition Starmate Sprint Run. The knife features a hollow-ground, modified clip point blade made from high-performance CPM-20CV particle metallurgy stainless steel.

Its satin-finished blade is complemented by a handle constructed with peel-ply textured G10 scales and nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners, which provide the foundation for the sturdy Michael Walker Liner Lock mechanism. Additionally, the handle showcases an inlaid Terzuola logo and includes a four-position pocket clip to support all carry positions.
