Brand new for 2019 is the Benchmade upgraded Griptilians. Benchmade took the standard Griptilians that have been oh so popular for years and updated it for today's popular steels. The Handle and liners are the same along with the AXIS lock. Why change what works...right? What Benchmade did do is to upgrade the blades all to CPM-S30V form the 154CM. This gives you better edge retention and sharpness. This is a much needed upgrade and is well received.
The Griptilians come in three different blade styles. the 551 drop point, the 553 tanto point and the 550 in a flat grind sheepsfoot with thumb hole instead of thumb studs.
This 550 has a Satin blade and Black colored handles.

Benchmade is a very nice blade sliced a sheet of toilet tissue into clean cut shreds 5 to be exacted I’ve never owned a blade that could do that out of the box deployment is incredibly smooth even carrying it is a pleasure tucked inside the waist band not what I usually do but when I did it felt good there unlike so many others with hard edges impossible against the skin while attempting the inside carry in sweats or track pants w/o pockets this has been carefully designed and crafted to be so user friendly it definitely will be my edc unless I get another benchmade done looking for quality, I’ve found it
Definitely my favorite knife for everyday carry. The same says it all, very grippy with a great feel. The sheep’s foot blade and no thumb stud makes a great slicer
