The Handle and liners are the same along with the AXIS lock. Why change what works...right? What Benchmade did do is to upgrade the blades all to CPM-S30V form the 154CM. This gives you better edge retention and sharpness. This is a much needed upgrade and is well received.
This version of the 551-S30V Griptilian is a Northwest Knives custom knife with a satin drop point blade in CPM-S30V steel and a cerakoted "Woodland Camo" Grivory handle. This coating is extremely durable and done by SRG Armament in Nampa, ID.
**Warranty: This Cerakote coating will effect the warranty from Benchmade ONLY on the handle scales. All other parts of the warranty will still be intact.
