The Microtech L.U.D.T knife series is a premium automatic knife at an affordable price.  This is one of those knives that is not fancy or flashy but it works...and it works well.  Microtech starts with a contoured aluminum handle that has great ergonomics whether you have a larger or a smaller hand. The blade deploys quickly and is one of the snappier automatic knives I have encountered. The custom hardware and lanyard finish it off nicely.

The Gen III LUDT has some subtle but significant differences from its recent predecessor. These include minor changes in styling, the addition of inlays, the use of standard Torx screws, and most notable of all, its ultra-smooth and ultra-solid silica carbide ball bearing pivot. This LUDT is the first automatic knife from Microtech that features their proprietary Bohler super steel, which has better edge retention than conventional steel.
