Guardian Tactical Recon 035 G2 - CPM-Magnacut Steel / 2-Toned Black Finish / Spear Point Blade / Black Anodized Aluminum Handle 93112G2
The Guardian Tactical Recon-035 has set a new benchmark for OTF (out-the-front) automatic knives, and the G2 variant raises that standard even further. Featuring an innovative OTF mechanism, this blade opens and closes with exceptional smoothness and strength. The advanced locking mechanism operates without contacting the blade during motion, significantly reducing friction and wear. The thumb slide is equipped with a robust steel plate and ceramic balls, effectively minimizing typical OTF wear on the aluminum handle.
This knife combines resilience with a sleek, tactical aesthetic, featuring a MagnaCut steel blade. The Recon-035 G2 Double-Action Automatic has an overall length of 8 inches and a closed length of 4.50 inches. Its 3.375-inch fine-edge spear-point blade showcases a striking all-black finish, complemented by an all-black Type III Hardcoat Anodized Aluminum handle. The handle, approximately 7/16 inches thick, features milled traction slots and jimping for a secure grip. The thumb slide rides on a stainless steel plate with ceramic balls to reduce friction. All hardware is finish matched, and the knife includes a reversible pocket clip for tip-down carry, along with a lanyard hole for added versatility.

View full detailsThis OTF knife is a gem. First is the quality of the materials. The Magnacut steel of the blade is a superb multi-use product. The design of the blade makes slicing easy and smooth. The scales are light weight yet afford a good grip. The balance and handling of the knife makes it a pleasure to use.The thumb slide is very positive without having to push hard. The lock-up of the blade when fully open is very strong and solid. There is nothing about this knife I don't like. Now, this last part is subjective. While the coating on the blade is designed to help guard against corrosion and marring, it just looks really cool.
