This is the first XM-18 “Skinny” 3.5 that I have used and so far I’ve been very happy with the knife. I have the standard 3.5 and it’s nice, but it’s heavy and rather bulky for my EDC needs but it has been a great knife. I also, rarely need something as serious as a XM18-3.5, this is kind of XM-18 3.5 “light”. I’m very happy with the “skinny” design overall. Less weight, less bulk but you’re still carrying a solid knife. I’m not a huge fan of Magnacut so I’m still a little skeptical of longer term use but that seems like what everyone wants and I wanted to give the “skinny” a try and I like the slicer and sheep foot but the SF’s are hard to find in “skinny”. I’m glad I picked this up, hopefully the heat treat is correct and it will get some good use for years to come.
