Spyderco Edgerati - Skeletonized Anodized Aluminum Handle / Satin Finished Blade / CPM-S30V Steel C266ALP
Description:
The Edgerati is a unique knife designed by Sal Glesser, co-founder of Spyderco, reflecting his passion for high-performance sports cars. The knife's pierced, geometric handle draws inspiration from the legendary "birdcage" Maserati, which transformed sports car design. Crafted from solid aircraft-grade aluminum, the handle scales are meticulously machined and hardcoat anodized to provide an exceptional combination of strength, lightweight feel, non-slip texture, and striking style.
Additionally, they offer a glimpse of the knife's streamlined Compression Lock mechanism, which features a stainless steel lock bar nestled into a machined pocket on the obverse side scale. The Edgerati's straight-spined, full-flat-ground blade is made from CPM S30V particle metallurgy stainless steel and includes a textured index-finger choil for a forward-positioned grip, enhancing control during use. The broad-based pocket clip is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry, which works seamlessly with the blade’s fully accessible Trademark Round Hole, allowing for quick and easy deployment with either hand. The knife comes in two finish options: a satin-finished blade paired with brightly finished hardware, or an all-black configuration featuring a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) blade coating, black anodized scales, and matching black-coated lock bar, clip, and hardware. Both finishes are available with either a PlainEdge or fully serrated SpyderEdge blade.
