The Temperance, designed by company co-founder Sal Glesser, was one of Spyderco’s early fixed blade models. Now, this classic design is back as a limited-edition Sprint Run.
It features a gray fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle and a full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ or SpyderEdge™ blade made from CPM CRU-WEAR. CRU-WEAR is specially formulated to provide superior wear resistance and toughness. Its advanced alloy composition is further enhanced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, ensuring an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure. Staying true to the original, the knife’s ergonomic handle is injection molded directly onto the blade tang and has bilateral “dimples” to enhance its texture and provide pivot points for grip-change maneuvers. The revival of the Temperance also includes a custom-molded Boltaron® sheath with a versatile G-Clip™ attachment.
