About Toor knives

Toor Knives, a veteran-owned brand, was born out of a vision to create high-quality, hard-use blades at an affordable price, right here in the USA.

The journey began in 2014 when Connor Toor, frustrated by the high costs and long production times of many knives in the market, decided to take matters into his own hands. He started by building a forge in his backyard and crafting blades with just a hammer and anvil. What started as a small shop project quickly transformed into a thriving knife company, where customers can now order blades built to last a lifetime.

Drawing from his experience in the Marine Corps, where he saw teammates relying on mass-produced knives that couldn’t handle mission-specific tasks, and insights from his Army Ranger brother, Connor began refining store-bought and military-issued blades, eventually developing Toor blades that met the rigorous demands of the field.

Today, Toor Knives operates in San Diego, CA, with over 30 skilled craftsmen, continuously introducing new products built from premium materials designed to withstand the toughest conditions.

What sets Toor Knives apart from other tactical knives in the market?

Toor Knives are proudly made in the USA, using only the finest American-made materials, including premium-grade steel like CPM-S35VN, CPM-3V, CPM-CruWear, and M4.

The brand is known for the exceptional quality of its blades, crafted with care and precision by skilled craftsmen using both traditional (e.g., hand forging, hand polishing) and modern (e.g., CNC machining, heat treatment) techniques. Each blade is designed to be a reliable tool, ensuring it meets the needs of those who rely on it in critical situations.

To ensure the longevity of your Toor knife, follow these simple maintenance tips:

  • Cleaning: After use, especially if exposed to moisture or saltwater, clean your knife with warm water and mild soap. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent rust or corrosion.

  • Lubrication: Apply a few drops of high-quality knife oil to the pivot points and blade surface to keep the knife functioning smoothly and protect against rust.

  • Sharpening: Use a sharpening stone or guided system to maintain the blade’s edge. Regular touch-ups will keep your knife sharp and ready for use.

  • Storage: Store your knife in a dry environment, ideally in a protective sheath or case to prevent accidental damage.
