Carpenter Technology's Micro-Melt PD#1 is an air-hardening, cold-work die steel designed to provide exceptional wear resistance and toughness. Utilizing the CarTech Micro-Melt powder metal process, it ensures a fine, uniform grain structure. This high-performance steel is central to a limited-edition Sprint Run series of our popular lightweight models. The blades come with a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, and the handles are injection molded in deep burgundy. Additionally, the pocket clips, lock bars, and hardware feature durable black coatings that complement the black-and-burgundy theme.
